Gilbert's 24 points lead Capital City Go-Go past Osceola Magic 113-110

The Capital City Go-Go defeated the Osceola Magic 113-110 on Thursday night at CareFirst Arena in Washington, D.C., using 20 3-pointers to hold off the Eastern Conference leaders.

Keshon Gilbert paced the Go-Go (11-10) with a game-high 24 points, adding seven rebounds and five assists. The team's success from beyond the arc was a collective effort, with Nolan Hickman scoring 18 points on six 3-pointers and Damari Monsanto adding 20 points, including five threes. Leaky Black contributed nine points, 11 rebounds and seven assists, while Skal Labissiere posted 12 points and three blocks.

The Magic (14-5) were led by Lester Quinones, who finished with 22 points and six rebounds. Javonte Smart provided 20 points off the bench. Osceola had four other players score in double figures: Phillip Wheeler had 16 points, Alex Morales scored 12 to go with six assists, and Justin Minaya chipped in 11 points and seven rebounds. Colin Castleton was a force on the glass, pulling down a team-high 12 rebounds.

Capital City started fast, building a lead as large as 19 points in the first half. Osceola methodically chipped away at the deficit throughout the second half, eventually tying the score at 110-110 on a putback by Minaya with 48 seconds remaining. On the ensuing possession, Go-Go newcomer Chris Livingston, who finished with 10 points, made a decisive cutting layup with 24 seconds left to give Capital City the lead for good. Quinones missed a potential tying 3-pointer during the Magic's final possession. The Magic dominated scoring in the paint 70-32 but could not overcome the Go-Go's 20-10 advantage in made 3-pointers.
