Harrison Ingram hit a game-winning shot in overtime to lift the Austin Spurs to a 116-115 victory over the San Diego Clippers on Thursday night at Frontwave Arena in Oceanside, California. The back-and-forth contest, which saw the Clippers relinquish a 15-point lead, was decided by the G League's target score rule in the extra period.
Ingram capped a stellar performance with the final basket, finishing with 23 points, 12 rebounds and eight assists for the Spurs (13-7). The Clippers (10-13) were led by Jahmyl Telfort, who scored a game-high 24 points on 9-of-14 shooting, including five 3-pointers. TyTy Washington Jr. contributed 22 points and four assists, while Zach Freemantle added 20 points and nine rebounds. Patrick Baldwin Jr. secured a double-double with 14 points and 13 rebounds, and Jaelen House finished with 12 points, seven rebounds and seven assists in the loss.
San Diego overcame an early deficit to build a commanding 15-point lead, but Austin steadily chipped away, eventually forcing overtime with the score tied 109-109.
The overtime period set a target score of 116. The Clippers reached 115 and had a chance to secure the win but could not convert. The Spurs got the rebound, setting up Ingram's game-winning shot to reach the target and seal the dramatic road victory.
