Dixon's career-high 34 points lead Hustle past Herd

Eric Dixon scored a career-high 34 points to lead the Memphis Hustle to a 117-97 victory over the Wisconsin Herd on Thursday night at the Landers Center Southaven in Mississippi. The win ended a four-game losing streak for the Hustle, who led wire to wire.

Dixon, who also tied a career high with 10 rebounds, was one of three Hustle players to record a double-double. Lawson Lovering posted a career-high 16 points along with 13 rebounds, and Charlie Brown Jr. contributed 14 points, 13 rebounds, and a team-high-tying seven assists. All five starters for the Memphis Hustle (5-19) scored in double figures, with Tyler Burton adding 20 points, including four 3-pointers, and DeJon Jarreau chipping in 11 points and seven assists.

Mark Sears led the Herd (7-18) with 25 points and five assists. The defeat was the ninth consecutive for the Herd, who remain winless in February. Wisconsin also received contributions from Alex Antetokounmpo, who scored 14 points off the bench, and Kira Lewis Jr., who added 13 points. Justyn Hamilton finished with 13 points and six rebounds, while Kobe Stewart and Johnny Davis scored 12 and 10 points, respectively.

Memphis controlled the game from the outset, building a 35-27 lead after the first quarter and extending it to 65-45 by halftime. The Hustle's offensive efficiency was a key factor, as they shot 45% from 3-point range and outrebounded the Herd 55-39. Wisconsin struggled from beyond the arc, converting on just 8 of 36 attempts for 22%. The Hustle's largest lead was 28 points in the fourth quarter.
