Brown records first career triple-double, Branham scores 24 as Charge defeat Go-Go

Darius Brown recorded his first career triple-double and Malaki Branham scored 24 points in his debut as the Cleveland Charge defeated the Capital City Go-Go 127-111 on Tuesday at Public Auditorium in Cleveland.

Brown was masterful for the Charge (19-9), finishing with 14 points, 14 assists and 10 rebounds. Branham provided a major spark off the bench, shooting 5-of-7 from 3-point range. Cleveland had a balanced attack with seven players scoring in double figures, including Riley Minix with 23 points to go along with five rebounds and five assists. Tristan Enaruna and Sean McNeil each added 15 points, while Olivier Sarr contributed 13 points and three blocks.

The Go-Go (15-15) were led by Kadary Richmond, who posted 22 points and five rebounds. Chris Livingston scored 21 points, and Alondes Williams added 16. Skal Labissiere secured a double-double with 10 points and a game-high 12 rebounds, while Christopher Mantis chipped in 13 points off the bench.

After a competitive first quarter that saw 10 lead changes, Cleveland began to pull away in the second, building a 68-56 lead by halftime. The Charge extended their advantage to as many as 20 points in the second half, fueled by a potent offense that generated 37 assists on 49 made field goals. The Charge were without Warith Alatishe due to a sore knee and Jaxson Robinson, who was a late scratch with a bad ankle.

Up next: The Charge host the Santa Cruz Warriors on Friday at 7 p.m. ET. The Capital City Go-Go will face the Santa Cruz Warriors on Tuesday at 2 p.m.
