Jaylen Sims scores 31 as Swarm rout Blue Coats

Jaylen Sims scored a game-high 31 points to lead the Greensboro Swarm to a dominant 140-98 victory over the Delaware Blue Coats on Tuesday night at Novant Health Fieldhouse in Greensboro, North Carolina.

The Swarm (20-9) snapped a three-game losing streak with an explosive offensive performance that saw six players score in double figures. PJ Hall recorded a double-double with 22 points and 11 rebounds, adding four blocks while shooting 4-for-5 from 3-point range. Antonio Reeves contributed 17 points, DJ Rodman scored 16, and Caleb Grill provided a spark off the bench with 15 points on five 3-pointers. Evan Gilyard II chipped in with 10 points, and Terrell Brown Jr. orchestrated the offense with nine assists to go along with eight points and eight rebounds.

After a high-scoring first quarter that ended tied at 37, Greensboro began to pull away, taking a 73-64 lead into halftime. The Swarm blew the game open in the third quarter, outscoring the Blue Coats 39-17 to build an insurmountable lead. Greensboro's largest lead of the night was 44 points, fueled by 50% shooting from beyond the arc as a team.

For the Blue Coats (14-13), Teddy Allen led the way with 24 points and six rebounds. Delaware had four other players reach double figures in scoring: Kennedy Chandler and Igor Milicic Jr. each had 12 points, while Saint Thomas and DeAndre Williams both finished with 11. Drew Cisse pulled down 10 rebounds before fouling out. Delaware struggled from the field, shooting just 35% overall and 23% from 3-point territory.
