Ingram's double-double leads Spurs past Vipers

Harrison Ingram scored 20 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to lead the Austin Spurs to a 94-86 victory over the host Rio Grande Valley Vipers on Tuesday night in Edinburg, Texas.

Ingram, who also added six assists, was one of five Spurs to score in double figures. Emanuel Miller contributed 16 points and six rebounds, while Elfrid Payton had 15 points, eight rebounds and six assists off the bench. Kyle Mangas scored 12 points and Adam Flagler added 10 for Austin (18-10).

The Vipers (18-10) were led by Tristen Newton and Daishen Nix, who both scored 15 points. Omer Yurtseven posted his second consecutive double-double with 11 points and a game-high 14 rebounds, while Efe Abogidi and Caleb McConnell added 13 and 10 points, respectively, in reserve roles.

The Vipers held a slim 86-85 lead with just over three minutes remaining in the fourth quarter before the Spurs seized control, closing the game on a decisive 9-0 run. A layup by Miller gave Austin the lead for good, and crucial 3-pointers from Stanley Umude and Flagler helped seal the win. The game also saw double technical fouls issued to Austin's Ingram and Rio Grande Valley's McConnell in the third quarter.

Up next: The Spurs will host the Texas Legends on Thursday at 8 p.m. ET, while the Vipers will host the Salt Lake City Stars on Friday at 8 p.m.
