Reeves scores 27 as Swarm clinch playoff berth with win over Blue Coats

Antonio Reeves scored 27 points to lead the Greensboro Swarm to a dominant 136-116 victory over the Delaware Blue Coats on Wednesday at Novant Fieldhouse in Greensboro, clinching a playoff berth for the second consecutive season.

The Swarm (21-9) showcased a balanced offensive attack with eight players scoring in double figures. Jaylen Sims contributed 19 points, five rebounds and seven assists. Marcus Garrett added 14 points on 7-of-9 shooting, while PJ Hall posted 14 points and nine rebounds. Evan Gilyard II (13), DJ Rodman (11), Caleb Grill (11) and Josiah Allick (10) also finished with double-digit scoring for Greensboro.

Malcolm Hill led all scorers with 28 points for the Blue Coats (14-14). Teddy Allen provided a spark off the bench with 20 points. Aminu Mohammed had 17 points and nine rebounds, and Saint Thomas chipped in 14 points, seven rebounds and six assists.

Greensboro seized control early, outscoring Delaware 34-18 in the first quarter. The Swarm extended their advantage to 77-54 by halftime and built their largest lead of the game at 34 points, never letting the Blue Coats mount a serious comeback. Greensboro controlled the interior, outscoring Delaware 68-60 in the paint.

Up next: Both teams are back in action on Friday at 7 p.m. ET. The Swarm host the Osceola Magic, while the Blue Coats host the Oklahoma City Blue.
