Quinones leads balanced attack as Magic top Herd

Lester Quinones scored 27 points to lead six players in double figures as the host Osceola Magic defeated the Wisconsin Herd 126-113 on Wednesday night at Silver Spurs Arena in Kissimmee, Florida.

Colin Castleton had 18 points and 10 rebounds, and reserve Will Baker posted 15 points and 14 rebounds in 20 minutes. The balanced attack also featured 18 points from Javonte Smart, 17 from Reece Beekman and 13 from Phillip Wheeler.

The Magic (20-8) shot 54% from the field and dominated the glass with a 47-25 advantage.

The Herd (9-21) remained competitive with their hot shooting from beyond the arc, hitting 17-of-35 attempts (49%). Four players scored over 20 points for Wisconsin, led by Kira Lewis Jr., who came off the bench and finished with a game-high 28. Stephen Thompson added 27 points, while Mark Sears and John Butler Jr. each contributed 21. Butler and Sears were particularly effective from deep, combining to shoot 10-for-16 on 3-pointers.

Osceola built a 71-53 lead by halftime and extended it to as many as 26 points in the second half. Wisconsin mounted a comeback in the third quarter, fueled by a barrage of 3-pointers that cut the deficit to single digits. However, the Magic responded late in the period, with back-to-back 3-pointers from Smart helping to reestablish a comfortable margin.

Osceola finished with a 50-34 advantage in points in the paint. The Magic were able to overcome their 19 turnovers, which led to 12 points for the Herd.
