The Blue featured a balanced attack with eight players scoring in double figures. Zhaire Smith led the way with 20 points and six rebounds. Oklahoma City controlled the game for long stretches, building a lead as large as 18 points in the first half. The Blue took a 73-58 advantage into halftime.

However, much like their matchup two days before, the Gold mounted a furious second-half comeback. Grand Rapids outscored Oklahoma City 64-49 in the third and fourth quarters, eventually tying the score at 122-122 to force overtime. The target score for overtime was 129. In the extra session, the teams traded baskets until a layup by Smith gave the Blue a 128-126 lead. After Holmes made one of two free throws to cut the deficit to one, Topic found Lakhin for the clinching basket.
