Wheeler leads way as Magic rally to halt Skyhawks run

Phillip Wheeler scored 30 points, and the Osceola Magic used a dominant fourth quarter to beat host College Park 129-120 on Wednesday night at Gateway Center Arena, snapping the Skyhawks' six-game winning streak.

Colin Castleton had 21 points and a game-high 16 rebounds for Osceola (25-9), which also received contributions from its bench with Javonte Smart scoring 22 points and Will Baker adding 18. Lester Quinones contributed 17 points and eight rebounds. Reece Beekman recorded 13 assists.

Keshon Gilbert finished with 28 points, 12 assists and eight rebounds to lead the Skyhawks (13-21). Reserve Isaih Moore collected 21 points and 11 rebounds, while RayJ Dennis added 21 points and Kobe Johnson chipped in 20. Basheer Jihad scored 10.

College Park came out strong and built a 12-point lead in the first half. The Skyhawks led 91-88 heading into the final period. However, Osceola seized control by outscoring College Park 41-29 in the fourth quarter.

Up next: The Greensboro Swarm will host the Skyhawks, while the Magic will visit the Motor City Cruise. Both games are Friday at 7 p.m. ET.
