Houstan sets career-high in 3s as Skyhawks beat Legends
The College Park Skyhawks defeated the Texas Legends 129-116 on Friday in Orlando, Florida, to open the NBA G League Winter Showcase. The game was a high-scoring contest dominated by exceptional 3-point shooting from both teams, with three players making at least seven shots from beyond the arc.
Caleb Houstan led the charge for the Skyhawks (1-0), setting a G League career high with eight 3-pointers on his way to 25 points and seven rebounds. The game remained close through the first half, but College Park seized control in the third quarter, outscoring Texas 35-21 to build a lead it would not relinquish. The Skyhawks' victory came after losing center N'Faly Dante to a leg injury early in the first quarter.
