Run it back: Lamar vs. Mahomes, Jones' heroics headline Week 3 (1:58)

Cameron Wolfe ESPN Staff Writer

Xavien Howard credited Amari Cooper/double moves for having success against him. He mentioned he was "very frustrated" but would go back to work. He said ejection came from hands to the face in a skirmish with Cowboys WR Cedrick Wilson. He was surprised that he was tossed but "it is what it is." He said the defense played like s—t in the 2nd half.

Flores: Dolphins couldn't capitalize on opportunities (0:40)

Dolphins DE Taco Charlton -- who got a sack today -- on Jerry Jones citing his toughness as a part of why he didn't work in Dallas: "On the field, if you go 3 years down the line, we will get to see who is right and who is wrong. It's on me now."

Cameron Wolfe ESPN Staff Writer

Dolphins have been outscored 133-16 in their first three games, a -117 point differential which is the worst in the Super Bowl era. Los Angeles Chargers up next...

Danny Isidora just left the Dolphins locker room in a walking boot. Looks like Miami could need a new starting right guard at least for next week.

Dolphins lose another blowout 31-6 to Cowboys, fall to 0-3. Competitive in the first half, fall apart in second half. Josh Rosen had a few nice drives early but result not much different. Dolphins have been outscored 133-16 in their first three games. Miami hasn't scored a touchdown since the second quarter of Week 1.

Prescott leads Cowboys past Dolphins (1:15)

Cameron Wolfe ESPN Staff Writer

Taco Charlton sacks Dak Prescott. More of a coverage sack, but still will go down as a Taco sack. Cowboys waived the former 2017 first-round pick earlier this week and Jerry Jones made a few comments regarding his toughness to a radio station this week. Charlton was pumped to get the sack vs. his former team.

Hurns exits with concussion after huge hit (0:29)

Seth Walder ESPN Analytics

The Cowboys allowed 6 completions on 8 targets for 92 yards when Chidobe Awuzie was the nearest defender to the targeted receiver in the first half against the Dolphins, according to NFL Next Gen Stats.

Dolphins played extremely well in the first half but can't get out of their own way. Plenty of drops and Kenyan Drake coughs up the ball with a fumble inside the 10-yard line while attempting a spin. A shame they aren't rewarded with a halftime lead, down 10-6. Josh Rosen has played solid in his first start for Miami. Dolphins had 218 yards in 1st half vs. Cowboys. They averaged 192 YPG over first 2 games of season.

Josh Rosen missed six plays while being evaluated for a concussion after his helmet hit the turf. Rosen returned toward the end of the drive and nearly threw a touchdown to Preston Williams. Settled for a FG.

Cameron Wolfe ESPN Staff Writer

Preston Williams couldn't hold on to what should have a TD to tie this game up from Josh Rosen. Defender makes good play to swat it away after a couple steps. Thought it might be worth a review from Brian Flores. Dolphins still in this thing, down just 10-6 in second quarter.

Prescott and Cooper link up for short TD (0:30)

Allen Hurns took a really hard hit from Jeff Heath trying to catch a pass over the middle from Josh Rosen. Hurns was able to walk off the field with help from trainers after a bit. This is the same field where Hunts suffered a gruesome broken ankle to end his season for Dallas. Definite helmet to helmet contact but no flag, probably because players were playing the ball.

Cameron Wolfe ESPN Staff Writer

Deep ball Josh Rosen makes an early appearance. Big 40-yard completion to DeVante Parker, who had a great one-handed grab over Chidobe Awuzie. Rosen, making his first start of the season, promised to be aggressive and we saw a glimpse of that on Dolphins opening drive.

Mike Clay ESPN Writer

The Dolphins' defense may be struggling this season, but top CB Xavien Howard is not. He allowed only one catch in Week 1 and you may have noticed that Josh Gordon wasn't in on the fun in the Patriots' big win over Miami in Week 2. That's because Howard was on him on 100% of his pass routes (Gordon was held to two catches for 19 yards on five targets). Howard shadowed Amari Cooper (then with Oakland) in Week 3 last season and held him to two catches for 17 yards in the game. Dallas figures to win big today, but Cooper has a tougher challenge than it may seem.

Kezirian breaks down large Cowboys, Pats point spreads in Week 3 (0:58)

Cameron Wolfe ESPN Staff Writer

New Dolphins DE Taco Charlton is ACTIVE, suited up vs. his old team, the Cowboys. Extra motivation. Dolphins inactives: Albert Wilson, Reshad Jones, Isaiah Prince, Doug Middleton, Myles Gaskin, Chris Reed, Tank Carradine.

Cameron Wolfe ESPN Staff Writer

Josh Rosen, Dolphins QB1: "Obviously right now we need a spark, I'm going to try to provide that spark."
