Over the last couple days, the Patriots had the following free-agents in for workouts: OT Caleb Benenoch (UCLA/Buccaneers); DT Carl Davis (Iowa/Ravens-Browns); DT Willie Henry (Michigan/Ravens); DB Josh Jones (NC State/Packers); and DB Adarius Pickett (UCLA). It is standard due diligence, as the team keeps its emergency lists updated.

The Patriots have downgraded RB Brandon Bolden (hamstring) to out for Sunday's game against the Dolphins. Last week, Bolden played 16 special teams snaps and 1 offensive snap. It will be interesting to see if this opens the door for rookie Damien Harris (third round, Alabama) to be active. Also, while starting right tackle Marcus Cannon (shoulder) is officially listed as questionable, he is not expected to play, per a source. The top backup is Korey Cunningham, but he was inactive last week as he gets more familiar with the team's system.
