Pac-12, Northeast Conference to pay basketball referees equally; data found 22% gap last season among top D-I conferences
The Pac-12 and Northeast conferences plan to equalize pay among referees for men's and women's basketball starting next season. An AP analysis found that among 15 of the NCAA's largest conferences, men's basketball refs made 22% more per game in 2021-22.
