Goodman, Jones lead Oregon State women past Washington 75-61

CORVALLIS, Ore. -- Aleah Goodman came off the bench to score 22 points, Taylor Jones scored 21 with eight rebounds and No. 17 Oregon State dominated the fourth quarter to turn back Washington 75-61 on Friday night.

Goodman hit 6 of 11 shots from 3-point range, while Jones sank 8 of 12 shots from the floor for the Beavers (21-8, 9-8 Pac-12 Conference). Mikayla Pivic contributed 10 points and 11 rebounds, while Destiny Slocum scored 11 with five assists.

Oregon State led 40-38 at halftime and 55-51 after three quarters before outscoring the Huskies 20-10 in the final period.

Amber Melgoza poured in 34 points for Washington (13-15, 5-12), moving her into 10th place on the Huskies' all-time scoring list with 1,676 points. The total was one point off her season high. Melgoza sank 14 of 26 shots from the floor while her teammates connected on just 11 of 31 attempts.

Oregon State has won eight straight in the regular-season series, although the Huskies beat the Beavers, then ranked 11th, in the second round of last season's Pac-12 Tournament.

Oregon State shot 44% from the floor and 44% from 3-point range (12 of 27). The Beavers made 11 of 16 free throws. Washington shot 44% overall but just 22% from distance (4 of 18). The Huskies hit 7 of 8 foul shots.
