Campbell has triple-double in win for No. 11 DePaul women

CHICAGO -- Kelly Campbell had a triple-double, Sonya Morris scored 21 points and Big East-leader and No. 11-ranked DePaul bounced back from its lone conference defeat with a 93-71 victory over Providence on Sunday.

Campbell scored 12 points with 11 rebounds and 13 assists for her second triple-double, the previous recorded against Seton Hall on Dec. 28, 2017.

The Blue Demons (20-3, 10-1) were coming off a two-point loss to Creighton on Friday after having led by 20 at halftime.

Providence (10-13, 1-10) trailed by two after the first quarter, 10 at halftime and 11 heading into the final period. But Chante Stonewall, Dee Bekelja and Campbell hit consecutive 3-pointers to open the fourth quarter and the lead never dipped below 20 thereafter.

Chanell Williams scored 15 points to lead the Friars, who committed 25 turnovers and have lost 10 of their last 11 games.

DePaul swept the regular-season series, having beaten the Friars 80-67 on Jan. 3.
