The Gamecocks opened the second half with a nine-play, 77-yard drive that made it 27-7 when Bryant scored on a 4-yard run.

Jeremiah Oatsvall hit DJ Montgomery for a 3-yard touchdown to pull the Governors to 27-14 early in the fourth quarter, but De'Marcus Flowers returned the ensuing kickoff 87 yards to cap the scoring.

Austin Peay came in allowing 251.8 yards (No. 7 in the FCS) and 15.4 points (12th) per game, but the Gamecocks had 296 yards rushing on 51 carries Saturday.
