- Will Bruin - 90'+1'
Bruin's late winner for Houston
HOUSTON -- Will Bruin scored in the 91st minute to give Houston a 1-0 victory over D.C. United on Sunday night, ending the Dynamo's winless streak at eight and the Washington club's winning streak at four.
Houston (6-11-4), with newcomers DeMarcus Beasley and Luis Garrido in the lineup, dominated throughout the match and finally broke through off a defensive blunder by United defender Steve Birnbaum.
Birnbaum allowed a looping back pass from Taylor Kemp to bounce past him, and Omar Cummings pressed forward. Once Cummings beat both Birnbaum and goalkeeper Bill Hamid to the loose ball, he slid a crossing pass to Bruin for the goal.
