Guingamp 0-1 Metz

Ten-man Metz secured their first win away from the Stade Municipal Saint-Symphorien this season with a 1-0 victory at struggling Guingamp.Gaetan Bussmann's first goal of the season was enough to secure the visitors their third win this term and condemn EAG to a place in the bottom three of Ligue 1.Yeni N'Gbakoto was sent off late on for his second yellow card of the game but Metz held on to move up to fifth in the league.Les Grenats set the tone early on as Yeni N'Gbakoto saw his effort from a tight angle turned away before Juan Manuel Falcon's attempt from inside the area finish up the wrong side of Mamadou Samassa's post. And their efforts paid off on 23 minutes when Bussmann grabbed the decisive opener.N'Gbakoto delivered a pinpoint corner which the 23-year-old defender volleyed clinically beyond Samassa from just six yards. The visitors' evening almost improved further as half-time approached. Following some excellent build-up play, despite being faced by three Guingamp defenders, Florent Malouda saw his bending effort turned away by the busy hosts' keeper. There was still time just before the interval for Guingamp to threaten but Claude Beauvue's close-range header lacked accuracy after he rose highest from a corner. The hosts seemed to benefit from the 15-minute break and went close minutes after the restart but Beauvue failed to find the target once again, this time firing into the side-netting after Jeremy Pied had picked him out with a searching pass.Guingamp continued to press and the busy Beauvue turned provider this time, picking out Rachid Alioui whose effort at the near post was only kept out by a magnificent reflex save from Anthony Mfa.Metz were reduced to 10 men with two minutes left to play as N'Gbakoto was shown his second yellow card of the match for a foul from behind on Ladislas Douniama. However, despite riding their luck for the majority of the second-half, Albert Cartier's team held on for a precious three points.ends
