Smokies taste victory in Angus derby
Arbroath claimed the spoils in the Angus derby as they beat Montrose 2-0 at Links Park.The Smokies were comprehensively beaten 3-0 by their local rivals in August but got their revenge to make it three wins on the trot. Top goal scorer Robert Linn got the ball rolling just after the half-hour mark.Mark Whatley doubled their advantage in the second half as Montrose have now gone nine straight games without a win in all competitions as they remain ninth. Todd Lumsden's men remain seventh while Montrose are only a point off above bottom club East Stirling.
