Enzo Crivelli bags brace as Bastia beat nine-man Lorient

Enzo Crivelli notched a double as Bastia won 3-0 at nine-man Lorient to secure their first Ligue 1 win of the season.

Midfielder Crivelli headed home in the first half after Allan Saint-Maximin had given the visitors the lead and headed a second late on after his 62nd-minute penalty had been saved.

It was a miserable night for Lorient who had both Didier Ndong and substitute Benjamin Jeannot sent off.

Saint-Maximin struck a brilliant opening goal for Bastia in the 25th minute, rifling home into the top corner following Sebastien Squillaci's assist from a free-kick.

Lorient were reduced to 10 men five minutes later when midfielder Ndong was shown a straight red card for his challenge on Mehdi Mostefa.

Crivelli headed Sadio Diallo's cross into the bottom corner in the 38th minute to give Bastia a 2-0 half-time lead before his penalty was saved by Lorient goalkeeper Benjamin Lecomte after Lindsay Rose's foul on Thievy.

Lorient's night went from bad to worse in the 77th minute as Jeannot was shown a straight red card by referee Amaury Delerue for arguing over a decision and their misery was complete when Crivelli headed home Bastia's third from an 81st-minute corner.
