Teenage defender Malang Sarr was the hero as Nice's Ligue 1 campaign got off to a winning start with a 1-0 victory over Rennes.The 17-year-old settled matters when he met Jean Michael Seri's free-kick on the hour to beat Rennes goalkeeper Benoit Costil with a downward header.Yoann Gourcuff fired an early volley wide for Rennes, but Nice finished the first half on top and Dalbert Henrique twice went close to opening the scoring.Giovanni Sio was foiled by Yoan Cardinale's fine stop and Rennes' last hope of snatching a point ended when Steven Moreira's header struck the crossbar in injury time.ends
