Brian White's late goal gives New York Red Bulls draw with Orlando City
Brian White scored a spectacular goal in the 95th minute as the host New York Red Bulls rallied late for a 1-1 draw with the Orlando City Soccer Club on Sunday night in Harrison, N.J.
The Red Bulls rallied to get a point for the second straight game after getting the tying goal in the 77th minute against league-leading FC Toronto on Wednesday.
The tying sequence Sunday started with a corner kick, and the ball scrambled through the box as goalkeeper Ryan Meara created some confusion. After an attempt by Omir Fernandez was blocked and another attempt by Jason Pendant, the Red Bulls regained possession after Orlando midfielder Junior Urso was unable to clear the ball from the box.

White gained possession of the ball, executed a reverse move and fired a shot that sailed past diving goalkeeper Brian Rowe into the left side of the net. White's clutch goal enabled the Red Bulls to move within two points of the sixth-place New York City Football Club.
Nani scored on a penalty kick in the 56th minute as Orlando City (8-2-8, 32 points) ran its unbeaten streak to a team-record 12 games. Orlando is two points behind third-place Columbus in the Eastern Conference.
Orlando remained unbeaten since a 3-2 loss at Inter Miami CF on Aug. 22 and nearly beat the Red Bulls for the second time during its streak.
Orlando took the lead when forward Daryl Dike was fouled by New York defender Amro Tarek to the left of the net. Nani scored his fifth goal of the season and Orlando's first on a penalty kick when he faked with his left foot, got goalkeeper Ryan Meara to move to his left, and fired a right-footed shot into the lower corner of the net.
Rowe made three saves and nearly recorded his second shutout in three starts this season. Before the late goal, Rowe preserved the lead with a diving stop on Samuel Tetteh in the 77th minute and then watched attempts by Tetteh and Jared Stroud sail wide.
The Red Bulls conceded a goal on a penalty kick for the second straight game and got the equalizer on a night in which it held possession for about 59 percent of the match.
Meara finished with two saves while 17-year-old Caden Clark was unable to become the eighth player in MLS history to score in his first three matches.
