Riller has 27 points as Charleston holds off Presbyterian

CHARLESTON, S.C. -- Grant Riller scored 27 points and Jarrell Brantley added 19 while pulling down 14 rebounds for his 24th career double-double as Charleston fought off Presbyterian for an 85-73 victory on Tuesday night.

Zep Jasper had 15 points and Isaih Moore contributed 13 for Charleston.

Presbyterian took an early lead and was ahead 18-16 at the midway point of the first half. Charleston's Brevin Galloway drilled a 3-pointer to take a 21-20 lead with 8:22 remaining. Moore followed with a dunk and the Cougars never trailed again and took a 36-30 lead into the break.

The Blue Hose stayed close and trailed 57-56 after Adam Flagler drilled a 3-pointer with 8:56 remaining. Brantley quickly responded with a trey and Jasper followed with another to give Charleston a seven-point lead.

Francois Lewis had 24 points to lead Presbyterian, Adam Flagler added 12 and Davon Bell scored 11.
