Vladimir Guerrero hit a pair of three-run home runs and brother
Wilton added his first career grand slam as the Expos shelled
the Phillies, 13-3, on Saturday. Vladimir is 5-for-9 with three homers and nine RBI in the first
two games of the series for Montreal, which has won three
straight games for the first time since August 23-25. Dustin Hermanson (9-14, 4.26 ERA) hopes to avoid his third
straight loss when he takes the mound for Montreal. He
surrendered five runs and nine hits over six innings in a 5-3
loss to Florida on Tuesday.
The righthander is 0-1 with two no decisions in three starts
against the Phillies this season, surrendering 15 runs and 19
hits over 17 1/3 innings. Philadelphia rookie Randy Wolf (6-9, 5.35) looks to finish his
first big league season with a victory. The lefthander allowed
four runs and four hits over three innings in an 8-2 loss to the
Chicago Cubs on Tuesday. Wolf was pounded for six runs and 10 hits over five innings in a
6-2 setback against the Marlins on July 27. Montreal leads the season series, 6-5.
