Martin's 23 points lead Raptors 905 past Boom

The Raptors 905 were fueled by a game-high 23 points from guard Alijah Martin in defeating the Noblesville Boom 107-95 on Tuesday at the Paramount Fine Foods Centre in Mississauga, Ontario. After a tied first half, the Raptors 905 outscored the Noblesville 56-44 in the final two quarters to improve their conference record to 5-0.

Martin, who was 9-for-15 shooting, also tallied four rebounds and four assists for the Raptors 905 (6-1). A.J. Lawson provided a strong secondary scoring option with 19 points and five rebounds. The team's depth was a significant factor, with the bench contributing 44 points as Quincy Guerrier scored 14 points and pulled down seven rebounds in just 17 minutes of action, while Tyreke Key added 11 points and AJ Hoggard dished out five assists. Starter Olivier Sarr controlled the paint with eight points and eight rebounds. The team shot 46.2% from the field for the game.

For the Noblesville Boom (3-4), Jalen Slawson posted a team-high 16 points to go along with six rebounds, three assists and three blocks. Cody Martin recorded 15 points, nine rebounds and six assists. Au'Diese Toney was efficient in his scoring, also adding 15 points on 4-for-8 shooting, including hitting three of his four 3-point attempts. Other key contributors for the Boom included Taelon Peter with 11 points and Samson Johnson with 10 points and two blocks. Kyle Guy scored eight points and was a key facilitator with six assists and eight rebounds. Gabe McGlothan provided a spark off the bench with eight points, nine rebounds and three blocks. The Boom were held to 42.3% shooting from the floor and committed 18 turnovers in the loss.

Noblesville started strong, taking a 29-22 lead after the first quarter. However, the Raptors 905 stormed back with a 29-22 second quarter, sending the game into halftime tied at 51-51. The home team created separation in the third and maintained its lead throughout the final quarter to close out the win.
