Broncos linebacker Von Miller said Wednesday one of the points coach Vic Fangio has made to him coming into camp was to play more snaps in games this season. Miller said he wants to play "85, 90 percent" of the team's defensive snaps.

Broncos coach Vic Fangio said Wednesday running back Phillip Lindsay "is ready to go", but will still be worked in gradually as they begin practices. Lindsay was held out of offseason workouts after wrist surgery, but Fangio said Lindsay will be "worked in quickly."

John Elway also said Wednesday that wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders would not be placed on PUP to start training camp and that Sanders, who is coming back from surgery to repair his Achilles in December, would be "eased in" to the workouts over the next few weeks.

Asked Wednesday if he expected rookie quarterback Drew Lock to be signed before Thursday's practice, Broncos president of football operations/general manager John Elway simply said "we'll see." And he added he wouldn't make any predictions about the contract negotiations. Lock is the team's only unsigned rookie.

Pat Bowlen's children thanked the fans for coming to the memorial and Beth Bowlen Wallace said it was"comforting" to meet so many people who had been impacted by her father.

Denver mayor Michael Hancock has arrived to Pat Bowlen's memorial. Long before his career in public office Hancock was the Broncos mascot — Huddles. And he has long said that 1986 season — his senior year of high school — was a sports highlight for him.

Broncos' first-round pick Noah Fant said it was important for the team's rookies to attend Pat Bowlen's memorial to offer condolences to the family and to "recognize greatness."
