After Broncos practice Friday, coach Vic Fangio said the only player who will be listed as questionable for Sunday's home opener against the Jets will be DT Mike Purcell (knee) and that WR Tim Patrick (hip), WR Courtland Sutton (hip), TE Noah Fant (ankle) and DE Shelby Harris (wrist), who were all limited some in practice this week, were "good to go.'' Fangio said he also expected G Graham Glasgow, who had an elevated heart rate in the season opener, to play Sunday after missing Week 2 game.

With outside linebacker Bradley Chubb expected to missed at least seven to eight weeks after left ankle surgery, the Broncos signed Aaron Patrick off of the Jacksonville Jaguars' practice squad and waived running back Nate McCrary. McCrary had been a gameday inactive in each of the Broncos' first two games. Patrick was undrafted in 2020 after his career at Eastern Kentucky -- he had 27.5 sacks in 48 games -- and had been originally signed to the Jaguars practice squad last December.

Broncos coach Vic Fangio said Wednesday LB Bradley Chubb's surgery to remove a bone spur in Chubb's left ankle was "a roaring success in that the best scenario that they all could hope for was what they found.'' Fangio said Chubb should be able to return to play later this season -- “I think it's in the six-week range at the earliest, six to eight (weeks),'' Fangio said.

Broncos star LB Chubb to undergo ankle surgery

The Denver Broncos' Bradley Chubb will have arthroscopic surgery on his left ankle on Wednesday and the Pro Bowl linebacker is hopeful to return later this season.

Broncos linebacker Bradley Chubb, who missed last week's season opener with an ankle injury, is lined up with the defensive starters in pre-game warm-ups and is moving well. Today against the Jaguars will be the first game Chubb and Von Miller have played together since Week 4 of the 2019 season, when Chubb suffered a torn ACL. That game was also against the Jaguars.

Broncos' LB Bradley Chubb, listed as questionable with an ankle injury that prevented him from playing the opener, “probably” will make his season debut today vs. Jacksonville, per source. If he does, Chubb and Von Miller would be unleashed vs. Trevor Lawrence.

On the prospects of LB Bradley Chubb (ankle) playing Sunday, Vic Fangio said Chubb "did a little more'' in Friday's practice than he had in either Wednesday's or Thursday's practices. Chubb was moving well during the open viewing period of Friday's practice. Fangio said: "Hopefully he will be to (play), but we'll see.'' The Broncos will evaluate Chubb again Saturday when they have a walk-through at a Jacksonville-area high school. The team was leaving for Jacksonville Friday afternoon.

On guard Graham Glasgow, who left last Sunday's game with an elevated heart rare, Vic Fangio said Friday: "Everything has come back good on (the tests), all the tests ... were positive as we view them.'' Netane Muti, who was a sixth-round pick in the 2020 draft, will play in Glasgow's right guard spot Sunday against the Jaguars.
