Steelers, Falcons among teams skipping workouts

Players from the Steelers, Falcons, Chargers, Jets, Dolphins and Rams on Friday became the latest from the NFL to say that they won't be reporting to team facilities next week to begin voluntary offseason workouts.

Veteran QB Chase Daniel is signing a one-year deal with the Chargers, per source. Deal has $1.5 million in guarantees remaining from his contract with the Lions. Daniel reunites with his former coaches Brandon Staley and Joe Lombardi and will mentor Rookie-of-Year Justin Herbert.

The Carolina Panthers acted swiftly in free agency on Wednesday to address the defensive side of the ball, adding Haason Reddick for one year, a source told ESPN, and Denzel Perryman for two years.

Sources: Texans adding QB Taylor on 1-year deal

Source: Chargers land Linsley with 5-year deal

Center Corey Linsley is headed to the Chargers on a five-year contract, a source told ESPN's Jeremy Fowler. The team further strengthened its offensive line by reaching a three-year, $21 million deal with Matt Feiler, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
