BOSTON -- — Dyaisha Fair scored a season-high 38 points, including 25 in the second half, and No. 21 Syracuse rallied past Boston College 75-63 in a Play4Kay game on Sunday.
Fair buried three 3-pointers in four tries during a key stretch of the fourth quarter, helping the Orange maintain a six-point lead. She capped her 13-point quarter with four free throws in the final two minutes as the Orange put the game away.
Fair remains in sixth place on the NCAA career scoring list for women. She has 3,167 points, 116 points behind No. 5 Brittney Griner. Fair's career-high is 40 points, set two years ago when she played for Buffalo.
Against Boston College, Fair made 13 of 25 shots, including 5 of 11 3-pointers, and went 7 for 7 from the free-throw line. Alaina Rice scored 10 points and Alyssa Latham had 10 rebounds for Syracuse (18-4, 8-3 ACC).
Teya Sidberry had 23 points and 11 rebounds for Boston College (11-13, 3-8). JoJo Lacey scored 21 points.
Syracuse scored the last eight points of the first quarter to take an 18-11 lead, but the Orange struggled for much of the next two periods. Boston College rolled through the second quarter, outscoring Syracuse 13-2 over the first seven minutes of the period. The Eagles went up by five on a 3-pointer by Lacy, but Fair scored five points and Georgia Woolley hit a 3-pointer to keep Syracuse within 31-30 at the half.
Boston College kept the heat on in the third quarter and led 40-34 near the 4-minute mark before Fair took over. She scored 10 of Syracuse's final 13 points of the quarter and the score was tied at 49 heading to the fourth.
Boston College is donating $4 from each ticket sold to Mass General Cancer Center.
Boston College will host Virginia on Thursday. Syracuse will return home to take on Georgia Tech, also on Thursday.
