The disappointing Seattle Mariners entered Wednesday 28th out of 30 MLB teams in runs scored, despite the heroics of offseason acquisition Nelson Cruz, and it’s not because they need more one-dimensional power. The M’s are fifth in home runs, but 27th in on-base percentage. The rest of the lineup (namely second baseman Robinson Cano) just simply hasn’t produced, and it’s why the Mariners are five games under .500. Wednesday night’s trade for Arizona Diamondbacks slugger Mark Trumbo is a step in the right direction, in theory, but not exactly an elixir to solve these problems. From a fantasy aspect, this doesn’t help Trumbo's owners.
