Hoosiers land ESPN 300 DT Darius Latham

Kevin Wilson might be in the process of landing the class that will help turn around Indiana football.

On Sunday, ESPN 300 defensive tackle Darius Latham (Indianapolis/North Central) committed to Indiana, first announcing his decision on his Twitter account, @BigBusiness_25.

"It's official, I'm a Hoosier," he wrote with an image of an Indiana hat.

Latham was in Bloomington on Sunday for an unofficial visit.

The 6-foot-5, 291-pound Latham is the second four-star in-state prospect to flip to the Hoosiers since October. Latham originally was committed to Wisconsin. Four-star Indianapolis Pike defensive end David Kenney III committed to the Hoosiers following a decommitment from Iowa in October.

"I'm pretty excited," Kenney said about the addition of Latham along the defensive line.

The No. 4 player in Indiana and No. 23 among defensive tackles, Latham will be given the opportunity to play on defense in Bloomington. Several colleges wanted Latham on the offensive line.

Florida, Michigan, Notre Dame and Ohio State are some of the other programs to offer Latham, who participated in The Opening this summer.
