Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, who returns to television Thursday night for the spinoff "Snooki and JWoww" on MTV, has always been opinionated.

Especially when it comes to sports.

Snooki, who hit it big as a star on "Jersey Shore," is a huge New York Mets fan and doesn't shy away from telling everyone.

"Growing up in New York, my grandfather was a huge fan and my mom is a die-hard Mets fan also," said Snooki, who was born in Chile and adopted by Italian American parents. "If I ever left the Mets to go to the other team in town, my family would disown me."

Well, Snooki's fiance and father of her baby, Jionni LaValle, is a huge Yankees fan.

"Yeah, because he's a weirdo," Snooki said.

"She's the weirdo," LaValle countered. "We've had a lot of good arguments about this. She makes fun of me and I make fun of her."

And which team will the baby be rooting for? No decision yet.

"Mets fans are awesome. We have heart. Even if we suck, we still love them," Snooki said.

"I think we're going to get him an A-Rod jersey," LaValle said.

But first Snooki is focusing on her new show, which is about her and "Jersey Shore" friend JWoww moving in together. Everyone says it's like the sitcom "Laverne & Shirley."

"I definitely want to show everyone that it's not all about partying and that I'm a normal person," Snooki said. "It will just show our day-to-day lives. We're just going to be normal."

Well, Snooki's version of normal.
