Green has career day in Marshall's 23-0 shutout of UTSA
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. -- Isaiah Green passed for a career-high 387 yards and two touchdowns, Justin Rohrwasser added three field goals and Marshall ended the season with a 23-0 shutout of Texas-San Antonio on Saturday.
The Thundering Herd (7-3, 5-2 Conference USA) scored 10 points in a flash, Rohrwasser's first field goal and Green's touchdown pass coming just six seconds apart. Matt Guidry fielded Rorhwasser's 61-yard kickoff after the field goal and returned it 30 yards before being hit by Chase Hancock and losing the ball. Rohrwasser was there to recover and Green completed a 37-yard TD pass to Tyre Brady on the next play.
In addition to forcing the fumble, Marshall's defense held UTSA (3-8, 2-5) to -26 yards rushing, a school record for fewest yards allowed. Omari Cobb and Chase Hancock had eight tackles apiece for Marshall, including two sacks, a forced fumble and 3.5 tackles for a loss of 20 yards. Obi Obialo had five catches for a career-high 103 yards, Tyre Brady had six catches for a season-best 162 yards.
Tyler Brown sealed the shutout with an interception in the final seconds.
