Dean Elgar moved in sight of a double century as South Africa A continued their first innings into the third day of their second four-day match against Bangladesh A at the Maritzburg Oval on Friday.

Wednesday's cloud burst meant that there was no play on Thursday and only a limited amount of play on Friday. A total of only 86 overs has been possible condemning this match to an almost certain draw with South Africa A finishing the day on 320 for 3.
