Scorecard

An all-round performance by Kane Williamson, who scored a half-century and picked up three wickets, helped New Zealand beat Maharashtra comfortably by 86 runs in Darwin. Martin Guptill too came good with the bat as he and Williamson hit 80s to propel New Zealand to 319. Guptill made 87 while Williamson made 86, and the pair were involved in a stand of 80 for the third wicket. Maharashtra couldn't stitch together big partnerships against a far superior attack. Harshad Khadiwale made an aggressive 49 at the top of the order but the rest failed to pose a challenge. Digambar Waghmare made 53 before he was trapped lbw by Williamson who claimed three lower-order wickets.
