All-action weekend keeps rollin'. Welsh Fire, who will face Oval Invincibles - the hosts, have won the toss and chosen to bat. Follow Alan Gardner's coverage there. Goodbye from here on behalf of our scorers, M Venkat Raghav and Sudeep Poojar.

Matt Short, POTM: Good start with the bat. Few nerves before coming in but super happy with the win. Would've been nice If I was selected at the draft but happy with what I got. Not so much turn in the first innings. Curators have done a good job. Ball got stuck in the pitch a bit that works for me. I was down to bat at 3 in the first game but Lyth was out unfortunately. Ball was coming on nicely, we used the wind well. Boundaries are short which worked. (On the lbw he overturned on review) Was sure it hit me high. IPL was a high-pressure comp, I learned from different coaches and players, hope to get better and better. Lads and coaching staff have been in the 6-7 days I've been in and we've gelled well. Plenty of indoor practice in the last couple of days, Get the fitness out on game days and we need to stay flexible.

5:28pm: A thorough thumping from NSC as they pick up a 60-run win against the hosts. They were set back by the rain just before the first innings ended as Rashid and Parkinson extracted spin. But their top five being unable to get going in the chase cost them. Tim David was the only batter to get a few big ones in but he was beaten often as well. Topley and Parnell held their lengths well. With 202 as the target, the lack of an explosive start meant that Brave fell behind early and never caught up. A 60-run loss is a big hit on NRR for them but NSC will be chuffed with that.

Parnell to Garton, 2 runs, Yorker on middle, inside edge off the open-faced bunt takes it to long-on. Batters push for two and are met with (possibly ironic) cheers from the crowd
