The Renegades beat the Scorchers by four wickets, their first win over the Scorchers in their history! It was on the back of a great bowling performance. The Scorchers struggled to get a handle on the pitch. The Renegades quicks did all the damage to bowl them out for 103. The Scorchers gave the Renegades a fright reducing them to for 4 for 17 in the fourth over. But Mitch Marsh opted not to keep Behrendorff and Coulter-Nile going. Harper and Nabi produced an excellent 68-run stand to steady the ship and in the end they won easily. Kane Richardson tells Fox Sports "The curse is dead. Hopefully we never hear about it again."
Usman Shinwari is Player of the Match for figures of 2 for 17. The Renegades start their season off perfectly. It was an entertaining low scoring game at Marvel Stadium. Thanks for your company. Join us tomorrow night for the Sydney Thunder and Melbourne Stars clash from Canberra. Until then, goodbye.
Tye returns. Three to win
