Shreyas Gopal ensured Assam's reply to Karnataka's 452 didn't get off to an ideal start by taking two top-order wickets for six runs to leave the batting side wobbling at 58 for 3 on the second day of the quarter-final in Indore.
Karnataka began the second day on 302 for 2 and could add only 150 runs to their total as Assam's bowlers, led by pacer Krishna Das, struck regularly. R Samarth (46), Manish Pandey (36) Shreyas Gopal (38) and CM Gautam (44*) got starts and helped the side move past 400, but could not carry on and play a big knock. Das finished with 4 for 101, picking the key wickets of Samarth and Pandey.
