Chennai Super Kings prevailed over Warriors in a tense league match, paving the way for both teams to reach the semi-finals
A tension-filled chase ends with both these teams qualifying for the knockout stage. Chennai and Bangalore meet in one of the semi-finals while South Australia and Warriors meet in the other. That partnership between Kreusch and Boucher helped Warriors qualify but both fell in the same over by R Ashwin - wickets that gave Chennai the upper hand. Victoria Bushrangers have been knocked out. Rudi Koertzen is doing the rounds around the ground and is been cheered on by the crowd. This is his last umpiring stint. Hold on, we'll get you the presentation details in a bit. Chennai top the table, Warriors are second in their Group.
Michael Hussey is Man of the Match for his half-century and two catches in the deep. Hussey: "It was a good game, both teams fought it out really well. I wasn't exactly sure what a good score was, as it turned out 137 was enough. The bowlers did a really good job, especially the spinners."
Jacobs: "I thought we were good with the ball and in the field but not so with the bat. But we wanted to qualify for the semis and we're there, so we're happy. We've played a lot in Centurion and we like playing there. We're happy for Kreusch, he bowls a lot on these kinds of tracks in the domestic T20 competition."
Dhoni: "It's an important tournament and we are the IPL winners, so we are supposed to that well. As a team we've done well. The wicket is slow and we didn't want them to get off to a great start. We lost three wickets in the middle overs and were not in a good position to slog in the final overs. The fast bowlers will have to pull their socks up for the semi-final in Durban. Two overs from Kemp and two from Raina, we ended up managing quite well. I don't think there will be a lot of assistance for the spinners in Durban."
