Commentator: Deivarayan Muthu

6:36pm: Zimbabwe struck in each of the first four overs of the defence, after which the South African born pair of Mommsen and Berrington led a fightback with a fast 51-run partnership for the sixth wicket. Scotland's late charge threatened Zimbabwe, but Wellington, who returned career-best T20 figures, and Tiripano sealed the deal.

Wellington, Man of the Match: This has been a long time coming. I am trying to help my team qualify. I tried to pick up wickets and put them under pressure early on. Richmond has been struggling a little, but today he did well.

Hamilton, Zimbabwe captain: We have been playing well. The guys are gelling well. The boys are believing a bit more, and that's paying off. I think Sibanda is going to be alright. It was a mishap today. We are looking to turn things around against Afghanistan.

Mommsen, Scotland captain: It was a difficult start. We got to a better position to have a crack, but unfortunately on the losing end. It would have been different had we got that partnership going further.

Swapnil M.: "Not to forget Sean Williams, his all round performance was equally crucial for this win of Zimbabwe"

That is all we have for you from this match. Tune in for the second match of the day, featuring Afghanistan and Hong Kong.

Tiripano to Evans, OUT, Scotland knocked over and knocked out. Zimbabwe move another step closer to the next round. Back of the hand slower ball on top of middle, Evans goes for a big whoosh, but does not connect. The bails get tipped off and the celebrations begin in the Zimbabwe camp. Nitini is animated, he pumps his fist, what a character

Tiripano to Watt, 2 runs, full on the leg stump, driven down to long-off. The throw from the deep is nice and flat. Mutumbami breaks the stumps, but the full-stretch dive saves Watt
