11.35pm Clinical Bangladesh were unstoppable today, and have stood out head and shoulders above the rest in this group. Led by Tamim, and cameos from Shakib and Sabbir, Bangladesh posted an above-par 180. Oman struggled in the chase, losing wickets regularly before rain made regular appearances and disappearances to shorten the game continually. In the end, Oman faced a task they could not keep up with and succumbed to a 54-run loss. Oman can take a lot away from this tournament, though. That win against Ireland will give their game a lot of confidence.

Tamim is the Player of the Match: "Next stage is very important for us. Pakistan game very important. I hope I can continue the form. I just try to be calmer, don't watch to rush the shots. Finally got a hundred, that was due. PSL was very important because I carried the form here after playing against some very good players. If we can play to our potential, anything can happen.

Mashrafe Mortaza: "Looking forward to the next big four matches. Thanks to Tamim, last three matches he has been scoring. Can't make any mistakes in the main draw. We played fearless cricket, that was a big decision but our coach has been giving us confidence. If you want to perform, you have to play fearless cricket.

Sultan Ahmed: "Today's game we tried our best. Tamim's innings was the difference. We have had a good summer, that's why we have come to this level."

Sabbir Rahman to Bilal Khan, 1 run, flat outside off, another ugly heave finds long-off. That will be it for Oman, their tournament comes to an end because Bangladesh are the other team to qualify for the main draw

Sabbir Rahman to Lalcheta, OUT, and another one goes. Short down leg, should have been put into the stands but Lalcheta swats it into the leg side, doesn't keep it down or time it well enough. Backward square leg comes in to complete a good take

  • Tamim shows his maturity

The Bangladesh opener has enjoyed a productive time in the World T20 Qualifiers and the aspect that has stood out is how he has adjusted his game to the situation

  • Oman's slinger, made in India

He was briefly on India's radar a decade ago, but it took a move to Oman to earn a living for Munis Ansari to rise to the world stage
