In doing so, he moved up to No. 3 on the list of highest run-getters this season. Kohli's tally of 484 from 12 innings at a strike rate of 165.75 is just behind B Sai Sudharsan (501) and Heinrich Klaasen (508).

Behind them are Sunrisers Hyderabad's Abhishek Sharma (481 runs), KL Rahul of Delhi Capitals (DC, 477), and Sai Sudharsan's captain at Gujarat Titans, Shubman Gill (467).

Purple Cap leaderboard

Bhuvneshwar Kumar, the Purple Cap winner in 2016 and 2017, has pulled away from Kagiso Rabada, Purple Cap winner from 2020. With 1 for 34 against KKR, Bhuvneshwar now has one more wicket than Rabada (21)
