Jose Mourinho has hinted he will not take a new job until the start of next season and remained coy over his prospects of taking over at Manchester United.
Mourinho parted company with Chelsea for a second time in December following a poor defence of their Premier League title.
The ex-Real Madrid coach has been heavily linked with Manchester United, where boss Louis van Gaal has come under scrutiny.
Sources told ESPN FC earlier this month that Mourinho and his representatives are increasingly confident he will be United manager next season.
Asked if he will replace Louis van Gaal at Old Trafford, Mourinho told reporters in Singapore: "That's the one million dollar question."
He added: "Nobody knows and I am the first one not to know. I read so many different things. One day says yes and one day says no. One other day says I go to China, another to Italy, I go to Milan and people say I'm going back to Inter."

Mourinho also suggested he does not intend to take a new role until the summer.
He said: "I always feel that it's better to wait, not to rush, better to be calm, to wait for the right moment, the right move. I feel that starting the next season with a new club and project is probably the best thing for me."
On Tuesday, former Manchester United midfielder David Beckham said that he wants Mourinho back in the Premier League as soon as possible.
