Jose Mourinho set to raid Benfica again for another Brazilian star

The window might be closed, but Transfer Talk never sleeps! Today, we find out who Jose Mourinho has been eyeing...

Talisca the next in line?

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho looks set to once again raid Benfica in the next transfer window.

Attacking midfielder Anderson Talisca, 20, is the next in line to follow in the steps of David Luiz and Nemanja Matic and make the switch from the red of Benfica to the blue of West London according to The Daily Star.

With Willian, Oscar, Filipe Luis, Ramires and quasi-Brazilian Diego Costa all already at Stamford Bridge, the young Bahia product would no doubt feel at home at Chelsea, and clearly, Mourinho is a fan: "I think Benfica hired well. They say Talisca is unknown, but he is only so unknown because he's only not playing in England because he doesn't have a work permit. If he had one, he would be here!"

Pencil it in -- Talisca will touch down in Heathrow next summer.

But that's not all!

A 20-year-old attacking midfielder, you say?

The Daily Express claims it is Ross Barkley, not Talisca, who Chelsea are keen on making a move on.

Despite signing a contract extension in July, rumours continue to swirl around the England international's future.

The paper claims that Chelsea are in the box seat to sign the Evertonian after Manchester City's failed courtship over summer, mainly because of the excellent working relationship Mourinho enjoys with the Merseyside club.

Romelu Lukaku permanently joined Martinez's side in July after spending a year there on loan, while Christian Atsu is the latest loanee to shift from Mou's to Martinez's tutelage.

Time running out for Mignolet?

Meanwhile, over on the Red side of Merseyside, fans' patience in Simon Mignolet seems to running out.

Victor Valdes has long been linked with a move to Liverpool, and The Daily Express has quoted Kop-legend Jamie Carragher adding his two cents in.

"We can all talk about goal scorers -- players who win the league and make a big difference -- but goalkeepers make a massive difference, and at those big moments, you've got to make big saves.

"Up until now in his Liverpool career, he hasn't made those big saves. If it continues, I can see Liverpool looking for another goalkeeper.

"There was talk of Victor Valdes because he is a free agent ..."

The former Barcelona keeper is close to regaining fitness after a cruciate knee injury that saw him end his trophy-laden spell at the Nou Camp on the sidelines.
