Inter Milan want Dzeko, Torres, Morata

Edin Dzeko, Fernando Torres and Alvaro Morata top a list of transfer targets Inter Milan president Erick Thohir has drawn up for the summer.

Wilson: Ignore the soap opera and appreciate Icardi's talents

The Manchester City, Chelsea and Real Madrid forwards are wanted by Thohir to lead his side's target of a place in the Champions League in 2015-16, when the Indonesian businessman would like to see the Nerazzurri reach the final at the San Siro.

"I know that the names of Dzeko, Morata and Torres have been doing the rounds and if one of them were to join, that would be great for us," Thohir told Indonesia's Bola TV. "There are lots of candidates on the list, but we're hoping to get a top European player. We need an attacker."

Only Morata ticks most of the boxes on the profile Thohir has drawn up for a younger Inter side of the future, but the experience Dzeko or Torres would bring means they are more than viable alternatives to join Rodrigo Palacio in nurturing the talent of 21-year-old Mauro Icardi.

Diego Milito, 34, is expected to leave the Nerazzurri this summer, but apart from the veteran forward, Thohir has no other plans to sell. "I hope that we have the same players here next season," he added. "I hope also that we can keep the same position we are in right now and then aim for the Champions League next year."

Inter have already announced the signing of Nemanja Vidic on a free transfer from Manchester United in the summer.
