Thomas Mueller's agent has told Bild the Bayern Munich attacker will not join Barcelona but refused to comment on rumours linking him with a move to the Premier League.

Mueller is under contract at Bayern Munich until 2017 but the Germany international is one of many players reported to be unhappy at the Bundesliga champions.

The 24-year old did not play the full 90 minutes in any of Munich's Champions League knockout stages ties, something that -- according to recent media reports in Germany -- has left Mueller disillusioned.

Midway through the season, reports in Spain had linked Mueller with a switch to Barcelona, and that conjecture was reignited following Bayern's Champions League exit at the hands of Real Madrid last week.

However, his agent Koegl told Bild: "Barcelona definitely is not an issue for Thomas."

The Premier League may be a more likely destination for Mueller, though, as Koegl refused to deny rumours linking the Bavaria-born attacker with a potential reunion with his former Bayern boss Louis van Gaal at Manchester United, choosing not to comment.

Mueller emerged as a first-team regular under Van Gaal, who is thought to be keen on luring him to Old Trafford, although kicker reports that United will face competition from Arsenal and Liverpool.

Earlier this week, Mueller appeared to have ended all speculation about a transfer away from the Allianz Arena, when he told Austrian paper that a transfer currently is not on table, albeit with the caveat that he "can give no guarantees for all times."
