New England and Los Angeles tie in a rematch of the 2014 MLS Cup final

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- Diego Fagundez and Teal Bunbury scored in the New England Revolution's 2-2 tie with the Los Angeles Galaxy on a rainy Sunday night.

Jermaine Jones left in the 33rd minute because of a left groin injury. He stood and signaled to the bench for medical help, before going to the ground. He was able to slowly walk off under his own power.

New England is unbeaten in eight straight MLS home games this season, while Los Angeles is winless in its last 14 league road matches.

All four goals were conceded before halftime, tying it for the highest scoring first half in the MLS this year.

Bunbury started the scoring in the fifth minute with an easy tap in of Scott Caldwell's cross. After Los Angeles scored two goals, Fagundez bent in a free kick over the wall in the 37th minute for the equalizer.

"We're going to take the point, but we got to start getting three points now," Bunbury said.

The Galaxy's Ignacio Maganto one-touched a loose ball for a goal in the 18th minute and Gyasi Zardes slotted home Jose Villarreal's back-heel assist in the 27th.

"I'm very happy," Zardes said after the Galaxy tied the Eastern Conference's second-place team. "It's unfortunate that we didn't get the win but we came out with a point and that's what matters."
