Alexandre Lacazette bags a brace as Lyon see off Bordeaux

Alexandre Lacazette grabbed a brace as Lyon returned to winning ways with a 3-0 defeat of in-form Bordeaux.Following a disappointing weekend defeat at lowly Bastia, Bruno Genesio was looking for instant response from his side and Lacazette's goals proved just the tonic before Aldo Kalulu rounded off a successful evening in added time.Les Gones dominated the early stages and Maxime Gonalons almost handed them the lead on 18 minutes but his header was hacked off the line by Valentin Vada. The hosts were not having it all their own way and, as the half wore on, Anthony Lopes was called upon to keep out Diego Rolan's stinging effort from inside the area. However, with three minutes left to play in the half Lyon drew first blood when Corentin Tolisso released Lacazette who rounded Paul Bernardoni before rolling the ball into an empty net.In what was proving to be an entertaining contest, Rolan saw a goalbound effort blocked by Jeremy Morel before, at the other end, Lacazette went agonisingly close after linking up well with Maxwel Cornet.Rolan went close again as the latter stages approached but again he was thwarted by Lopes who did well to keep out the Uruguayan's well-placed header.Despite Bordeaux's spirited attempt at finding a way back into the game they found themselves two behind late on when Bernardoni collided with Guilbert from Rachid Ghezzal's delivery and Lacazette was able to push the ball into an empty net for the second time this evening. And, as the full-time whistle loomed, Lyon rubbed salt in the wounds of their visitors when Christophe Jallet picked out Kalulu from inside the area and the youngster was allowed to take a touch before firing beyond the on-rushing Bernardoni.
