Paris Saint-Germain turn on the style in second half to maul Nantes

Paris Saint-Germain had to come from behind to beat Nantes 4-1 and remain out in front in Ligue 1.

Yacine Bammou headed the hosts in front, but PSG's second-half response was emphatic as Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Edinson Cavani, Angel Di Maria and Serge Aurier all found the net to keep the champions unbeaten in the league after eight matches.

It was a fourth straight defeat for Nantes, who twice hit the post when leading 1-0.

There were only 11 minutes gone when Bammou met Valentin Rongier's corner to head Nantes in front.

He might have doubled the lead moments later but saw his shot strike the post, and then in the 22nd minute it was Wilfried Moimbe who found an upright.

PSG struggled to threaten in the first half, with their best chance an Ibrahimovic shot which was blocked by Remy Riou, but they punished Nantes for those near-misses after the break.

Only three minutes after the restart, Ibrahimovic was in the right place to poke home amid a scramble.

Cavani, on as a substitute, then headed them in front in the 73rd minute as he turned in Di Maria's free kick, and it was former Manchester United man Di Maria who struck a third 10 minutes from time with a shot from outside the area.

That all but sealed the result, but there was still time for Aurier to add an exclamation mark in the final minute when he stabbed home Javier Pastore's inswinging corner.
