Ola Toivonen hat trick fires Toulouse to victory over Lorient
Ola Toivonen scored a hat trick as Toulouse held on for a narrow 3-2 victory against struggling Lorient at Stadium Municipal.
The 30-year-old summer signing fired Yann Bodiger's cross into the bottom corner before doubling his side's score midway though the first half, tapping home from a corner at the near post for his first two goals at his home ground.
Benjamin Moukandjo pulled one back after 27 minutes to leave it 2-1 at the break, but Toivonen completed his treble as he slotted Martin Braithwaite's assist home on the hour.
The away side threatened a late fightback as Majeed Waris headed home to reduce the deficit late on but Toulouse held on for maximum points.
